Geo Carignani (born in Cuenca, Ecuador, 1994) is an interior and product designer based in Milan.

After spending his formative years in La Spezia, he moved to Milan to study Interior Design at Politecnico di Milano. During his academic career, he had the opportunity to learn from leading figures such as Andrea Branzi and Michele De Lucchi, and to exhibit his academic work at events including Milan Design Week, HOST, Triennale EXPO Gate, and Biennale Session.

From his early university years, he developed a strong interest in furniture design. In 2018 he gained his Master’s degree with a thesis on Italian design and Made in Italy, from the Renaissance to the new millennium, supervised by Franco Origoni and Aldo Colonetti.

In 2017, he joined the studio of award-winning Japanese designer Kensaku Oshiro, where he gained his first professional experience as an intern and continues to collaborate as a Senior on projects for leading international companies.

Since 2020, he has combined his work in the studio with freelance practice, presenting his first product – developed in collaboration with Luca Cotini – at SuperSalone 2021. In parallel, he began teaching as an assistant at the School of Design at the Politecnico di Milano, with a focus on graphics and video-making.

He sees design as a dialogue between people, objects, and space.

Drawing on his interdisciplinary experience, he pays close attention to production processes, seeking meaningful designs that enhance traditional materials and craftsmanship.
